Cookie policy

This page describes which cookies and similar technologies are used on labmate.app. It supplements the privacy policy.

The short version: without your consent, this website sets no cookies that recognise you. Only your decision itself is stored.

Without consent: your decision, nothing else

So that we don’t have to ask you again on every visit, your browser remembers how you decided. That doesn’t happen in a cookie but in your browser’s local storage (localStorage) — the information is therefore never transmitted to a server.

• Content: whether you consented, the version of the consent and the point in time
• Storage period: until you change it or clear your browser data
• Legal basis: necessary in order to act on your decision (section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG)

If the purpose of the processing changes, the stored consent becomes invalid and we ask again.

After your consent: Google Analytics

If you consent, we load Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Only then are cookies set. We use it solely to measure reach: which pages are called up, for how long and by which route.

Cookies set:

• _ga — distinguishes visitors, lifetime 2 years
• _ga_T8R8SCEQPQ — maintains the session state, lifetime 2 years

The legal basis is your consent (section 25 (1) TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). Without consent the script is not loaded — so no connection to Google servers is established either.

Google may transfer data to the USA. For that case we additionally base the transfer on your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 49 (1) (a) GDPR. In the view of the Court of Justice of the European Union, a level of data protection fully corresponding to EU standards cannot be guaranteed there in every case.

In doing so we use Google’s consent mode: advertising and personalisation functions (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) are permanently set to “denied” — even if you consent to measurement.

What we do not use

This website sets no advertising or retargeting cookies and uses no social media plugins that transmit data when a page is opened. Google Analytics runs exclusively for reach measurement; Google Ads functions and Google Signals are switched off. Fonts are served from our own server, not from Google Fonts.

Your health data is never held on this website. You record lab results exclusively in the app; this website does not process them at any point.

Changing or withdrawing your decision

You can change your consent at any time with effect for the future — via “Cookie settings” in the footer of every page. Google Analytics cookies that have already been set are best deleted additionally via your browser settings.

External destinations

Some buttons lead to third-party offerings — for instance to payment with Stripe. These are ordinary links: only when you click them do you leave this website, and the privacy terms of the respective provider then apply.
